Treating MPs With The Contempt They Deserve?

I'm quite used to the government treating the citizens with complete contempt except when canvassing for their votes in an election, an inconvenience I'm sure they'd love to dispense with if they thought they could get away with it, but here's a nice example of how they also treat elected MP's with contempt.

It seems that there is a convention that any government commitment in excess of £250,000 has to be laid before Parliament so objections can be raised and the matter debated. However, in the little matter of getting someone else to take over running the Sellafield Nuclear Complex, an inconvenient open ended commitment with NO UPPER LIMIT and potentially likely to run into BILLIONS was conveniently slipped past Parliamentary scrutiny by stealth and lies.

Now it has come on top the cunts are blaming "clerical error".

I have another solution to offer them, which has been very successfully used before. Simply re-name the fucking place so no-one has nightmares about it. Windscale, anyone?

Good story Penguin, not come across it yet elsewhere.
"Top civil servants and nuclear administrators colluded to prevent... They need prosecuting for malfaescance for starters.

"Yesterday, a leading Labour MP, Paul Flynn
announced that he would try to get a parliamentary investigation into the revelations in the documents, which run to 140 pages and had been so heavily censored prior to release that many whole pages, and the names of most of the officials involved, have been systematically blanked out".

Bravo Paul Flynn, you might be spared the lamp post piano wire solution. Since when was blanking out names and details standard practice for non defence documents ? " We are going to lie and cheat but tippex away our responsibility". Great tippex out their pensions too.

In the 70's there used to be a contract with aerospace, military you know anything with the poor sodding taxpayer picking up the tab called cost plus.
This is what it says on the tin, they built it(slowly)and then they stuck on top of what it cost 10% pfofit margin. Now thats the sort of business I want to get into.
