Standards Low, Expectations Lower Still

The Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills has been criticised for producing an annual report that is full of jargon and designed to be difficult to read in an attempt to mask failures in its achievement of targets.

Agreeing with the select committee, the Permanent Secretary Ian Whatmore promised to bring in advisers to help write this year's report.

For fuck's fucking sake, the senior civil servants in the department responsible for UNIVERSITIES needs to bring in outside fucking experts to draft a fucking report in plain English?

Education, Education, Education.

This illustrates precisely the point that I made on OH yesterday.

Soon, no cunt will be able to write anything on leaving school because essay writing is too hard for the little darlings.

It's multiple choice or nothing, mate.

it's either banned or compulsory said...

Great piece on Radio Two yesterday attacking the parents of 20,000 children who are home taught.
Usual drivel about what is needed is more regulation and inspection ( ie non-jobs ) because these dreadful people are not under the control of quangocrats.
The best bit was the often repeated idea that " home schooling could be a cover for ABUSE ! "
Maybe so, but that is a matter for Social Services and Police not a sidelined education department
