I think that his comments show that although most young people are growing up in a time where moral standards are in decline, at least they are not so low that they want to be polititions.
What mp's are entitled to is already clear, they are just taking the piss out of the system. Whatever benefit system they are going to have, i am sure they will manage to fiddle it and take the piss out of it too.

Two reasons.
One, the embarrassment factor.
Two, to ensure no one else takes the job, which is in any case Mission Impossible (and therefore a waste of taxpayers' money)
