What Is It With This Obscure Word?

"Resile"

I'm 53 this month, I have a degree in English, and I had to look this up in the dictionary the other day when the One Eyed Snot Gobbling Nutter used it.

Now Harriet Harpy is using it.

That's really cocksucking, the fucking hypocritical slag.

You could have told us the meaning, to save everybody else having to look it up!

Not back away from. As in the first part of "resilient".

That got me thinking about another word we've been hearing a lot these past few weeks - "Redact"

Here are a few extracts from a dictionary:

interpolate, alter, falsify - insert words into texts, often falsifying it thereby

black out - suppress by censorship as for political reasons; "parts of the newspaper article were blacked out"

blank out - cut out, as for political reasons; "several lines in the report were blanked out"

May return soon..fuckety fuck. said...
