Government Help. There's an oxymoron for you.
Take the much trumpeted "Car Scrappage" Gimmick. Hidden amongst the fanfares was the bottom line, that of the headline £2,000 manufacturers would have to swallow half.
So what happens in the real world as opposed to McMental's parallel universe?
The manufacturers sort this little "problem" out by upping the finance charges, so the punter ends up paying even fucking more than list. Obvious, but not to twats like Jonah, who doesn't drive himself, has never owned a car.
Even the money the government is supposed to be contributing is stolen from the taxpayer. Not really much help at all.
