Hurrah - Enjoy Your Porridge, Mister Dizai!

Some excellent news for a change.

Hope this means he loses his pension as well.

If he goes inside, clutching his soap on a rope, then he'll most surely lose the pension.

I should have added....'and his ringpiece.'

He won't lose his pension - he's one of Labour's Chosen People.
I'll be surprised if he even loses hid job......

"is facing jail " - When he actually goes inside, then you can start rejoicing...

Sorry to go off topic Mr P. but Straw is getting toasted at Chilcot. Why don't they ask why Blix has called him a lying bastard or words to that effect.

So, microdave...eating your words?

Five years wasn't a bad guess, although 25 might have been nicer.

Yes, Cato I was wrong! But I will bet you he doesn't actually serve more than two years....

And what's the likelyhood we will read in tomorrows press that he has filed an appeal?

According to the Times he is still technically a cop:

"Dizaei will remain a senior police officer until the bureaucratic process of throwing him out of the force can be completed. The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC), which investigated the original complaint, must pass its files to the Metropolitan Police Authority (MPA) for a decision.

Dizaei will then face being sacked for gross misconduct and could lose all or part of his pension under further measures aimed at punishing corrupt officers.

Sir Paul Stephenson, the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, said that Dizaei had damaged not only his own reputation but that of the entire police service.

'It is extremely disappointing and concerning that this very senior officer has been found guilty of abusing his position and power,' Sir Paul said."

Pity the Met let the slimy bastard get away with it for so long.

A result ! - let's hope that he actually does some real time in a real prison, and not some "Butlin's by the Sea" open job, as he's "a target for the general criminal population" ...

The very first time - many years ago - that I stumbled on an article about him, my "gut feeling" (which is rarely wrong) said ...

" Sleazy corrupt self-serving fucker " ...

He will not lose his pension.

Under some obscure EU legislation we will find that he has "earned" his pension so that cannot be taken off him.

In fact we are also likely to discover that he has been effectively dismissed from the force and so will be entitled to severance pay.

All bundled up, in the bank, and gaining (some) interest.

The only bright light is that rampant inflation will make the whole lot worthless.

According to the Mail, he's in Wandsworth Prison in South London, on the vulnerable prisoners' wing alongside sex offenders.

Hardly a "vulnerable prisoner", but the sex offender bit is good....

And I spotted that Hooky has suffered a setback:

First piece of news about this racist fucker that hasn't made me seethe.

Even two years is long enough, hopefully, for someone to get to him and sort him out good and proper - all that's needed is a sympathetic screw - if you'll pardon the pun.
