Cunstable Of The Month

Despite it being such a target rich environment, April's "Cunstable Of The Month" award goes to Superintendent Gary Thompson of Gloucestershire's Plod, who seems to think that sending a helicopter, two vans, three patrol cars and two dog units to apprehend a couple who had helped themselves to some rubbish from an un-manned recycling centre, valued at 47 pence, is good policing and an appropriate use of resources.

If you were to report a burglary or some yobs throwing bricks at old people's windows, you be lucky to get any response at all.

No wonder normal folk can't be arsed with assisting the police.

Its precisely because of the way in which he thinks that Thompson has achieved the rank he now holds ..

He must obviously be considered a "safe pair of hands", to be "toeing the line" , to be "one of us" ..

And no doubt, he'll get ticks in all the right boxes to ensure his progression even further up the greasy pole of Police promotion ..

Reminds me of the story which may unfortunately be apocryphal.
Man phones police -
"There's two guys in my shed stealing my motorbike"
Police station -
"Sorry we've no resources at the moment"
Man waits a minute then phones back -
"Never mind, I've shot them"
Armed response unit arrives as the thieves wheel the bike away, and arrest them. They then question the man.
Officer -
"You said you'd shot them"
Man -
"You said you'd no manpower."

It's getting to the stage where it's more sensible to take the law into your own hands, than call the police. It's as if our erstwhile leaders actually want to bring about anarchy...

PC Harwood is doing a wonderful job of making himself look every inch a cunt at the inquest. It was quite interesting how the Met's QC was desperately trying to distance their training from his actions and interpretations.

100% clearup rate. Job done. Where's my bonus?

Granted, Gray looks like a pikey, but at least he's twocing things nobody wants.

What pisses me off is that my servant won't even entertain the thought that there was a fuck up.

Ah, but you see, this was a crime against the STATE. Burglary, assault, are crimes against the populace. And they can fuck off

It's just been reported that West Yorkshire Plod has been 'actively policing' a mini-roundabout in leafy Ilkley, as some of the residents had the temerity to take the most sensible line across it - they've even had an Inspector on the case.
At the same time, under the same feeble Force a few miles away in Bradford, gun-crime, drug-crime, car-crime, illegal immigration, staged car-crashes, trafficking for prostitution and grooming under-age girls for sex with older Asian men are all rife and almost entirely unpoliced.
And they wonder why people want an elected Police Commissioner ?
