Taking An Onion From His Pocket, The Defence Lawyer...

They really are over-egging how old and frail the Nazi War Criminal John Demjanjuk is.

I suspect that once he's been given a suspended sentence and 200 hours of litter-picking he'll suddenly perk up.

After all, worked for Ernest "Guinness" Saunders, Ronnie "Football Match!" Biggs and that Libyan bloke, didn't it?

If the old Nazi is that bad off, they should put him down and get it over with.

"Nazi" really means a Nazi party member. I used the term Nazi generically, I should have said war criminal.
"Bringing to justice" is an over used term for crimes like this. There is no "justice" for such extreme crimes. Just shoot them. If he is innocent as he claims, then shooting will be a mercy because he's so sick.

He is not looking well, no matter what they do to him I don't think the chap has that many years left.

That said, if he is guilty he deserves to rot his last few years in a cell.

I would still be far more merciful than what he did to people.

Leave him naked out in the cold, just as he was fond of doing.

"Leave him naked out in the cold"

That won't work - didn't you know the world is getting warmer?

His conviction for crimes against humanity was later overturned by the Israeli Supreme Court in 1993 due to a finding of reasonable doubt based on evidence suggesting that Demjanjuk was not "Ivan the Terrible" and had, in fact, been a guard at camps besides the one at Treblinka.[3] After the trial, he was returned to Cleveland, Ohio. He eventually moved to nearby Seven Hills, Ohio.

Once he's got his easy peasy punishment he'll return like Lazarus from the grave. We don't need JC around here performing miracles, Nu Labour do it just as well - Saunders, Mr Lockerbie.

A close-up of John Demjanjuk on BBC News last night showed him looking remarkably well, although his eyes were closed. His skin looked (more or less) wrinkle free and healthy for someone in his 80s. As Anon 21:21 wrote, if acquitted - or just freed - on grounds of ill health we can expect a miracle recovery.
