If my memory is right, Howard Flight was deselected instantly as a Conservative candidate by Cameron because he said at a private dinner party that government expenditure would have to be cut.
This was at the time when Cameron was promoting himself as "the heir to Blair" and talking about raising public expenditure from "sharing the proceeds of growth".
What's with the Tory party these days? Whenever one of them accidentally tells the truth (or right-speak) they then go rushing around apologising to Dave for it.
