Once A Hoon, Always A Hoon

"£3,000 a day is just the start for Hoon work..."

Just as "Buff" Huhne is being crucified in the Media and abandoned by his colleagues, up pops "Buff" Hoon to add to the gaiety of the nation.

Lucky old "Buff" Hoon has wangled himself a highly paid position at defence contractor Augusta Westland, who were the incredibly lucky ONLY bidder for a lucrative contract to supply the Army with a new helicopter. There was talk at the time over how fishy this smelt, since there were cheaper alternatives that could have been delivered earlier, and the poor old foot soldiers were dying because of a lack of helicopters. It got even smellier when the MoD’s then permanent secretary Sir Kevin Tebbit joined AgustaWestland’s Italian parent, Finmeccanica, just over a year after the deal was agreed. Of course, Italy and corruption, how could anyone suspect such a thing in the land of Berlusconi?

Why on earth would any reputable company want to employ such a disgraced wanker as "Buff" Hoon unless they needed a toilet cleaner?

£3000 a day? He'd be lucky to see £3000 a year as a toilet cleaner.

Mind you, if he chose to clean public loos, he might get tips.

There are many decent, hard working, rich people (I've met a few over the years) Whilst I will never be one of them, I can't begrudge them their good fortune.

But unfortunately we have another category, amply demonstrated by Messrs Hoon & Huhne. These wastes of DNA appear to revel in sticking two fingers up to others, and using every possible fiddle going to boost their bank balances.

Suffice it to say that if I ever come across one of them on fire, not only would I refuse to cross the road and piss on them, I would seek out the nearest garage and buy a can of petrol...

It should be investigated as a war crime and they both should be hels accountable for manslaughter of our troops .. simples ... bloddy treason !!!

Rewarding rather than employing. Who would employ Hoon? And of course it sends a message to subsequent defence ministers-look after us and we will look after you.

He won't last long. Westland will use his contacts in the very short term then when they realise his contacts have dried up, which they will because said contacts will be unable to hide their jealousy, then he'll be gone.

They don't want him for anything other than his address book. He's nothing else to offer has he?
