I couldn't help but notice on the tiny snatch I saw on the telescreen, Blair referred to Saddam being 'removed from office'.

After the world trade center attack they were going to invade Iraq come what may. That they had so long to prepare makes the many and costly mistakes in Iraq, in managing the aftermath in particular, doubly depressing.
If it was right to go into Iraq why not Iran, North Korea or even Zimbabwe?
Or China? Another country with a deplorable record on human rights. Oh wait... we have a strong trade relationship with China... wouldn't do to damage that.....
