It's hard to say Penguin. I mean Brown has just thrown our entire wealth for the next 50 years at private companies which have directors and senior management who are taking their usual six figure salaries and bonuses... and point blank rtefuse to tajke less. The right wing parties would ahve done the same.
On the other hand he doubled the bottom rate of tax and put up old age pensions by less than inflation, and then taxed any rise he did give them right out of their poor old purses. The Tories wouold ahve done the same despite the fact they said they wouldn't.
I'm not sure if that's marxism, being a bitty too young to remember it. :¬)
