Hmmmm, Great Career Move?
With the opinion polls consistently suggesting that Gordon The Snot Gobbler is leading his party towards electoral wipeout, it seems perverse of Sir Gus O'Donnell to risk annoying his soon to be new political masters by seeming to whitewash the request for him to look into the Smeargate Scandal.
Now, is he over-loyal to The Great Leader? Does he have shares in a Nokia Supply Shop? Has he got inside information on how NuLiebore are planning to steal the General Election with the postal votes? Or is he not quite as bright as he ought to be?
Maybe he fancies spending the rest of his Civil Service career posted to Cumbernauld?
The Penguin
None of that, he's a bum chum!
ReplyDeleteHe is an impartial chap and he spoke at length with Gordon over this matter, as soon as he got off his knees and wiped his chin clean he decided that there was nothing to be seen.
ReplyDeleteSome people always defend O'Donnell's impartiality by saying he was Major's press secretary. Yeh right! Just look at the unprecedented level of civil servant leaks Major's government suffered. I'll bet O'Donnell was doing some leaking. He can hardly be impartial having written a book with Ed Balls (as the Spectator points out).
ReplyDeleteLordship clearly on its way for him.
