Immediately afterwards the Government inject £1.5 billion! More than was needed by the previously private company... and they further set aside another £4 billions!<BR/><BR/>So, one nationalised company snapped up for nothing, tax payers on the hook for even greater subsidies and they massively increased fares for their users (via renegotiated access contracts for the train companies).<BR/><BR/>I'm just pleased we don't have a large indigenous car industry now... because you can bet your life this Government would have pulled the same stunt there too. By now Jaguar would be building a 'peoples car' designed by Herr Mandelson.<BR/><BR/>Is anyone beginning to get a sense yet just how dangerous this Government is?
